A HOME & AWAY FIRST.  You can now travel to and from Summer Bay on Alf's boat, (The Blaxland)!!!  This product is available on the 1st and 2nd Feb 2021.  Both dates are considered "very likely filming days".  Limited to 10 people per trip.  Guests will board the boat at Newport and enjoy a gentle 1 hour cruise on the Blaxland, before arriving at Summer Bay on a "very likely filming day".  2 hours is then allocated for guests to enjoy famous Summer Bay sights and/or filming, before returning to the boat for a 1 hour cruise back to Newport.  The trip includes fascinating commentary (with pictures) from the owner of the boat, Michele.  She will describe in detail how the Blaxland has been used for Home and Away filming, as well as some of the challenges and fun times she has experienced along the way.  This is a truly unique event, aimed at the most passionate Home and Away fans.  Get in quick, only 10 spots available per tour. 


GENERAL INFO

-  The meeting time and place for the tour will be at 11am outside the main entrance to the Newport Pub on Kalinya St, https://goo.gl/maps/crywoGmWzozqjQYe7 There is parking in the immediate area.  Otherwise, guests can catch the #199 bus that leaves at 10.05am from stand G on Belgrave St, Manly.  The bus is due to arrive at the meeting point at 10.52am.  At 11am you will be met by the owner of the boat, Michele and taken on a 5 minute walk to where the boat is moored. 

-  Food and drinks are not included, please come prepared with your own. 

-  Price is set at $150 per person, regardless of age and a maximum of 4 people per booking.

-  PLEASE NOTE: Ray Meagher (Alf) will NOT be present on the tour. 

-  Filming is expected on the days the tours are running, however no refunds will be given in the event of no filming.  There are also no guarantees which actors maybe present on the day, or how close guests will get to the filming. 

-  The trip will be weather dependant.  Please accept that there is always the possibility that the trip could be cancelled.  Guests would subsequently receive a full refund and/or the option to attend the event on a new date (once one has been decided). 

-  The trip will take place on flat and relatively calm waters.  It will not take place in open ocean.  Some sea swell maybe experienced, but very little.

-  All participants must be able bodied and be competent in walking 5 minutes from the meeting point to where the boat is moored.  In addition guests must be able to step into and out of the boat with assistance if necessary.  The trip is not wheelchair friendly.
